Coaching Staff: Asst. Coach Pat Butler, Defensive Coordinator/Outside Linebackers
Pat Butler joined the Northwest staff in 2003 year and enters his fifth season as the Ravens Defensive Coordinator. In 2006, Coach Butler was selected as an assistant coach for the GCKFCA Kansas-Missouri All-Star Game. Coach Butler came to Northwest after teaching and coaching 10 years at Frontier Trail Junior High (1993-2003). Coach Butler has served as head 9th grade football coach for the past five years at Frontier Trail, compiling a 32-9 record and four city championships, including two in a row and a 12-game conference winning streak. He also served as 8th grade football coach from 1993 – 1998 and 8th grade basketball coach from 1995 – 2003. Coach Butler currently teaches Social Studies and serves as Social Studies department chair at Northwest. Coach Butler is a graduate of the University of Missouri-Columbia and earned a masters degree from the University of Kansas. A native of Overland Park, Coach Butler is a graduate of Shawnee Mission South High School. Pat currently resides in Olathe with his wife Lisa and their two sons – Jackson (7) and Samuel (5).
