Coaching Staff: Head Coach Todd Dain, Running Backs

Todd Dain, who has coached in the Sunflower League for 16 seasons, enters his sixth year at the helm of the Raven Football program. In 2007 Dain was selected as the 6A Coach for the Kansas Shrine Bowl for the 2nd time in his career. Dain served as the defensive coordinator in 2007 for the Kansas East Squad. 2006 marked the first year for the Ravens to compete in class 6A. That year, Dain made school history leading the Ravens to their first ever playoff appearance. In 2004 Dain was awarded the Metro Sports Coach of the Week for leading Olathe Northwest in a decided 28-9 victory over Shawnee Mission Northwest. Coach Dain came to Olathe Northwest from Shawnee Mission East High School, where he served as the head football coach for three years (2000-2002). In 2001 and 2002, Coach Dain made playoff history - leading the Lancers to back to back District and Regional Championships for the first time ever at Shawnee Mission East. Prior to SM East, Dain served as defensive coordinator and assistant head coach at Shawnee Mission West from 1995-2000, where he was instrumental in guiding the Vikings to the Sub-state Championship game in 1997 and a Sunflower League title in 1999. He also served as head track and field coach at SM West in 1999-2000. A former track and field stand out at Emporia State University, Dain began his coaching career at Washburn Rural High School where he coached under legendary Coach Ron Bowen. Dain, a native of Silver Lake, Kansas earned a state championship in both football and track 1989-90. Coach Dain brings a reputation of being a tremendous motivator, communicator, and instructional leader. Additionally, he brings visionary leadership and a positive outlook on the potential of the Raven football program. Coach Dain is a member of the American Football Coaches Association, the Greater Kansas City Football Coaches Association, and has served as the Sunflower League representative to the Kansas Football Coaches association since 2001. Todd’s wife, Jessica, is the principal at Starside Elementary in DeSoto. Todd and Jessica live in Olathe with their daughters – Andie (10) and Ashton (7), and son – Brock (6).
