Coaching Staff: Asst. Head Coach Jon Krug, Defensive Backs

Jon Krug is in his fifth year on the Ravens Staff where he serves as assistant head football coach. Coach Krug came to the ONW Raven Football Program with 22 years of coaching experience. Coach Krug has coached football to many young men at the junior high, high school and collegiate levels. For five years (1998-2002), Coach Krug has served as Head Coach at Shawnee Mission West High School, where he compiled a 22-23 record and his team won a Sunflower League Championship in 1999, the first at SMW since 1989. Previous to Shawnee Mission West, Coach Krug served as defensive line coach at Shawnee Mission North High School, defensive secondary and special teams coordinator at Ottawa University and head football coach and Athletic Director at De Soto High school. As a head coach at De Soto High School, Coach Krug compiled a 41-32 record with three Kaw Valley League Championships and in 1989 took his team to the Kansas 4A Sub-State championship game. Coach Krug was selected to coach in the 1996, 2000 and 2002 Kansas-Missouri Metro Classic All-Star football game and served as an assistant in the 1990 Kansas Shrine Bowl. Coach Krug is a graduate of Ottawa University where he was a 3-year starter as a defensive back. He is a member of the American Football Coaches Association, the National Federation of Interscholastic Coaches Association; the Kansas Football Coaches Association and the Greater Kansas City Football Coaches Association. Coach Krug and his wife Jeanne reside in Olathe with their two sons - CJ (18) and Seth (16).
