Coaching Staff: Asst. Coach Mark Mahoney, Inside Linebackers

Mark Mahoney enters his second year on the Olathe Northwest staff. Mahoney came to Northwest from Jackson County High School in Jackson County, Georgia. During his time there, Mark was the Head Fast-Pitch Softball coach for 5 years (2001-2006) Coach Mahoney complied an 88-41 record with 3 region championship's and 3 state berths. In 2001 Coach Mahoney was named Northest Georgia Coach of the Year. Coach Mahoney was also the Head Baseball Coach for 2 years (2005-2006) and served as Boy's Basketball Varsity Assistant for 3 years (2001-2004). Coach Mahoney currently teaches Physical Education and Health. Mark is a graduate of Fort Hays State University and earned his Master's from the University of Alabama. A native of Hays, Kansas, Coach Mahoney is a gradute from Hays High School. Mark currently resides in Overland Park with his wife Tara, and his son Tayler (5) and his daughter Addyson (3)..
